Pre-season training for Men’s 1s/2s and Women’s 1s squad is underway but the group out the blocks quickest, probably physically and metaphorically, is the U14s. The boys and girls U14s mid-week sessions have been a joy to watch and there is some serious talent on show. This bank holiday weekend, our girls U14 travel to Surbiton to take part in the Mizuno U14 tournament which is for some of the premier junior teams in the country. It’s a full on tour including a trip to Chessington World of Adventures!

Vacant Positions
We are still looking for an Umpire Liaison Officer (basically confirming umpires for each match), a Men’s 5/6th XI coach for their weekly Tuesday session 630-8 pm, sponsorship lead and a new social secretary. Our growing club cannot survive with a small group of people doing everything and eventually we’ll run out of steam, stop going forwards, stall and then creep backwards. Can you help?

Tuddenham Road
The new car park is laid, the club house upstairs has gone through a further update and new tables are coming soon, the club house exterior is been painted (when I hear bleed blue I didn’t know we’d include the clubhouse but so be it!) and we’ve fencing for the new car park due soon. It should be ideal for sponsorship, as is the space around our pitch to go alongside our headline sponsors Seven Group.

Club Weekend
Saturday 7th adults, Sunday 8th juniors resume and some adult games. Please look out for more details from your coaches and captains. See you there, the bar will be open.

Kit and Membership
As per Sam Edwards message to everyone last week, details of membership and match fees for adults and juniors for the season have been posted. Please do get your membership paid in the September window and before the season starts, it’s exhausting and wrong to be chasing people so please take some personal responsibility. You can contact ISC directly and they will get you up and running. Kit can also be ordered online using the TK portal and shirt numbers are available via Donna as before.
